Corneil est un petit chien heureux mais qui cache un lourd secret : il sait parler, lire et compter. Il se révèle même être un chien surdoué. Ne voulant pas devenir chien cobaye dans un laboratoire, il préfère taire ses étonnantes capacités. Mais tout bascule le jour où ses riches propriétaires, soucieux d'offrir à leur chien la meilleure des vies, décident d'engager Bernie Barges, un jeune adolescent excentrique, comme « dogsitter ». Celui-ci ne va pas tarder à découvrir le don de Corneil et mettre à profit celui-ci pour mener à bien les plans les plus farfelus.



Cornell is a young, refined and rather sophisticated pet dog. In fact, Corneil is a dog of exceptional intelligence, a genius some might say: he is fluent in several foreign languages, can skim read and count at the speed of light! Corneil has only one wish: to live the comfortable, quiet life of a pampered pooch. However, when his owners John and Elizabeth take on Bernie as a dog-sitter Corneil's life is turned upside down.
