Anime political thriller

Conceived by Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell) Jin-Roh is a dark tale set in the riot-torn Tokyo of an alternate history.

The story takes place in the 1950's, when martial law grips a Tokyo devastated by war and military occupation. The masses are in open revolt against the authorities and guerilla war is breaking out. The government uses the Capitol Police Organization (CAPO) as an instrument of repression, especially relying on it's heavily armed Wolf Brigade to annihilate the freedom fighters.
Kazuki Fuse, a member of the brigade, is traumatized when a young girl associated with the people's movement kills herself in front of him in order to prevent herself from being captured by the state.
Then he meets the girl's sister. The two strike up a friendship and begin seeing each other on a regular basis. But while Fuse and Kei are enjoying each other's company, high-ranking members of the Capital Police and regular police are making political moves behind the scenes; moves that seem to directly involve the actions of Fuse and Kei.
